Time Flies!!!!

Wow a lot has happened since our last post. Carter turned 3, and Kadence started kindergarten. So it has been Carter and I at home. Both Kyra and Kadence just celebrated their birthdays. Kadence turned 6 - she now has to hold up two hands to show her age. Kyra turned 8!!!! We are so happy that she also decided to get baptized and it was wonderful - we had many people come and share the day with us. Uncle Nathan and Aunt Christy, Grandpa and Grandma (were also able to join us for Christmas), Uncle Derrick and Aunt Rikki and their kids, and Nana and Grandpa and Uncle Zac. Unfortunately Uncle Kemp, Aunt Kara and their kids were not able to join us - due to a car accident on the way here - they were missed greatly. And even though my oven had some electrical issues my truly wonderful brother Nathan was able to say the day - well almost - Brent and Zora came through for us and we had sudo PK subs - which were still mighty delicious.

Vacation in Idaho!!!!!!!

Well we have been on the road a lot this summer. We traveled to Idaho to see lots of family and enjoy the 4th with all of them - it was so fun. My Grandma Ricks is 99 and so that was great she is doing so wonderful - still so sharp - she rememberes a lot of her great grandkids names and she even has some great great grandkids- truly amazing. However sad to say I do not have a picture of her. I am soooooo lame.



We also made it over to see Ky's GRandpa Morgan (he sealed us in the temple 10 years ago) and that was great.



And we saw Grandpa Christensen - that was fun to see him.

I made it!!!!

Well after some pretty lame weeks of dinners and an overstressed Mom, Girls' Camp for the 6th ward is officially over!!!!!! YEAH!!!! Now our summer can begin. since being back - let me take a moment and brag. I have cooked garlic chicken and terriaki chicken (from scratch) and lemon chicken and tonight i will attempt walnut crusted orange roughy (yuck) but it is for the kids. and we have started swimming lessons and so the kids are lovin' it and i am loving being a mom not preoccupied with camp.. and that is my life right now.

And a shout out to my Mom in law and Mom who made it possible for Ky and I to work out the girls camp technicalities.. THanks to both of you the kids sure loved having you here.....and Zac carter loved having you here.

Time for a Confession

I have a confession to make - though I do not update my blog regularly - I do go to my blog often and listen to my playlist because I love it so much.

But I believe this would count as an update - what do you know - babysteps.

SPRING ?

Apparently Spring here in the Springs is winter!!! This was really just 1 week ago. And on Wed. April 1, 2009 we had to cancel our youth activity because the weather was so bad (and no this is not an April Fools day joke). This is ugggghhhhh. What can I say more.

Our kids got -as far as I am concerned- the best gift ever!!!!!!
